Victoria Antoine
Owner, Creative Director
Victoria Antoine (or Vicki as she is known to associates) is the firm’s owner and Creative Director. A lifelong artist and designer, Vicki’s talents have garnered many awards and earned her notoriety through special exhibits throughout the Shoals area. Eager to learn as much as possible about the world of marketing and communications, she has also been a strong proponent of continual education, earning her Associate degree at Northwest Shoals Community College and her Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from the University of North Alabama.
Vicki has worked with several area production and design firms over the years, and is particularly proud of her stint as designer of UNA’s Flor-Ala newspaper and the university’s yearbook from 2004-2006. In the summer of 2009, after much deliberation, Vicki made the plunge into the marketing services field as VLA Designs, and immediately acquired clients from the art community, local non-profit organizations and local businesses. Over the last six months, Vicki has also expanded her offerings to include public relations services, showing substantial successes with a number of clients.
Vicki’s non-stop work ethic, her attention to detail and her ability to create strong personal relationships with her clients has made her an invaluable marketing and public relations asset to those who have utilized her services over the years. In the couple of minutes a day that she is not working on a project or design, Vicki enjoys chasing storms and the occasional Charlie Brown Special.
Clyde R. Beaver III
Senior Strategist
Clyde Beaver, a native of Florence, Alabama, earned his Associate in Arts degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta at the age of 20. Upon graduation, Clyde began his marketing career in Atlanta as the Advertising Director for a private manufacturing firm, creating an in-house marketing department that supported several consumer brands.
After over 5 years with the company, Clyde moved to the ad agency side as Creative Director and an original associate for a small but growing advertising firm. Quickly rising through the ranks as the agency grew, Clyde took on increasing responsibilities, including annual client account planning and daily management of the creative, account services and public relations departments. After nearly 11 years, Clyde left the firm, then a Top-25 Atlanta agency, with the title of Executive Vice President-Operations/Creative Director. Shortly after, he began consulting with other agencies and private companies in the areas of business organization and client marketing and public relations strategies.
Clyde recently joined VLA Marketing and Public Relations as Senior Strategist, bringing over 20 years of creative, client relations, account strategy and program execution experience to the regional market that he has sought to rejoin for the last several years.
Over his career, Clyde has also actively supported the communities in which he has lived with his marketing and public relations talents. He is a founding organizer of the Roswell Woman’s Club Showcase Home Tour (Atlanta), former board member of the North Fulton Child Development Association, committee member for First Fridays Florence and board member of Downtown Florence Unlimited. In his spare time, Clyde enjoys reggae music and ghost hunting. |
